Proud US Veteran t-shirt (unisex)
Bella+Canvas 100% airlume combed and ring-spun cotton t-shirt. Steel blue color, very soft and comfortable, unisex construction. Beautifully screen-printed locally at Golden Supply Co., a Veteran-owned small business in our downtown Rochester, Washington Square neighborhood.
Uniquely designed to include: “Proud United States Veteran” and the American Flag with adorning stars all around. Please note: These pictures are mock-ups only as the shirts will be made in January 2024.
A portion of each t-shirt sale will go to support local veteran-honoring activities including Honor Flight Rochester, the local hub in the National Honor Flight non-profit network that honors our nation’s heroes, and Geva Theatre’s “Home for the Holidays” program. T-shirts are unisex construction, 100% premium combed and ring-spun cotton, tear-away label, produced by Los Angeles based Bella+Canvas company. Sizes include S, M, L, XL, 2XL, and 3XL. See sizing and fitting chart for specs. Please note that there are “Proud Rochester” or “Proud United States” with either “Family of Veteran” or “Veteran” screenprinted on them. Please purchase accordingly.
Pick-Up or Delivery Options
Pick-Up (FREE)
We encourage local pick-up from two of our local partners:
1. Golden Supply Co., our screen printing partner, located at 210 South Avenue, Suite 120, Rochester, NY 14604. You will be notified by email when your order is ready for pick-up. T-shirts will be located at their retail storefront, please ask a store associate for assistance. Please have your digital receipt available at pick-up. Please note that Golden Supply is currently open Monday - Saturdays, 12noon - 6pm.
2. Fuego Coffee Roasters, located at 1 Woodbury Boulevard, Rochester, NY 14604. You will be notified by email when your order is ready for pick-up. T-shirts will be located in the cafe, please ask a store associate for assistance with your particular order. Please have your digital receipt available at pick-up. Please note that Fuego Coffee is currently open 7 days a week, 7am - 5pm.
Delivery (Flat-Rate $10)
We can’t offer FREE shipping like Amazon, so if you’d like your t-shirt delivered, there is a flat-rate fee of $10 per order (i.e., can include multiple items in one order) to ship USPS First Class anywhere in the Continental United States.
Refunds and Exchanges
No refunds will be issued, however, exchanges are allowed within 30-days of purchase. Please email president@rocwashingtonsquare.org if you would like to start an exchange.
Fulfillment
Due to the high demand of these shirts, the WSCA will be fulfilling all shirt orders in January 2024 after the Holidays. We emphatically state that we cannot guarantee shirts will be shipped before the Holidays.
About Washington Square Community Association (WSCA):
Washington Square Community Association is a leading, local non-profit, 501c(3) community organization based around one of our city’s first local squares in downtown Rochester, NY. Our mission is to embrace diversity by involving all portions of the community, build partnerships amongst the various community leaders, promote the community through public relation events and activities, and improve the quality of the community environment through ongoing cleanup and beautification projects.
Our downtown neighborhood has a longstanding history of honoring local veterans for their service and sacrifice to our country dating all the way back to 1892 when the Soldiers and Sailors monument was erected in the Washington Square. This monument serves to highlight those veterans who served in the Civil War in all four branches of the United States military, and today still stands to remind us that ALL of our Vets serve a central role protecting our freedom and liberties here in America.

This t-shirt project is one way the WSCA and my family would like to honor our vets and their families for their service and sacrifice to our great country. The WSCA will be donating a portion of the proceeds to two different non-profit organizations that benefit veterans and their families. During the checkout process, you will have a choice of where you would like the proceeds of your sale to go, including:
Honor Flight: While the WSCA and this project are not formally affiliated with the Honor Flight Rochester (HFR) organization, my dad and I were honored to be invited as part of Rochester Honor Flight Mission #69 back in October of 2019, see pictures below. If you don’t know what Honor Flight is, in short, it’s an incredibly generous program that flies Veterans FREE of charge - and their guardians to Washington, DC to visit and reflect together at their memorials. Geva Theatre’s “Home for the Holidays” program: Every holiday season, thanks to the generosity of hundreds of Geva donors, Geva offer a free “Home for the Holidays” performance of A Christmas Carol for military families. This year’s performance will take place December 27th, 2023 at 2pm. To take advantage of this generous performance, please call the Box Office and identify yourself as military personnel. Tickets are subject to availability. Blue Star Theatres is a program of Blue Star Families and Theatre Communications Group. Taking into consideration the cost of production, marketing, and ecommerce transaction fees for each t-shirt, the WSCA will be donating a portion of the proceeds of each sale to Honor Flight Rochester and/or Geva Theatre’s “Home for the Holidays” production. There will be no tax charged as clothing items under $110 are exempt from NY State Tax and local Monroe County Tax.
