2023 Movies:

In 2022 the Washington Square Community Association partnered with Downtown Definitely to produce three magical nights under the stars in downtown with the intent of handing off the production.

This year and beyond, Downtown Definitely will take over and continue these special summertime events for the Rochester community. We’ll continue to partner with Downtown Definitely in the background when necessary and needed, and we’re confident this programming will flourish for years to come.

• Friday, Sept. 8th: Top Gun Maverick

History of MWADV

Movies With a Downtown View, MWADV, started in 2014 in Martin Luther King Jr., Memorial Park in downtown Rochester. Our first showing, Almost Famous, attracted well over 300 movie-goers and was a small tribute to local legend Philip Seymour Hoffman who tragically passed away earlier that year. Our movie selections vary from box-office hits - to classics - to off-the-beaten path picks that we think attendees will love. We try to keep it as diverse and interesting as our beautiful Rochester community.
